From 2006 to 2010, David worked at LA Fitness in Bury St Edmunds, where he consistently ranked among the top ten personal trainers in the national trainer league. In 2010, he moved to Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, where he continues to train a loyal client base. David has worked with high-performance athletes, including local Paralympian and handcyclist Brian Alldis, and racing driver Matthew Parry, achieving impressive gains in both strength and speed.

David Calver is a highly experienced personal trainer based at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, offering flexible training sessions either at the club’s gym or in the comfort of your own home. Whether you prefer to train in a gym environment or at home, David works around your schedule and location to ensure your fitness fits your lifestyle. With a focus on bespoke training programs, David believes that no two clients are the same. Everyone’s lifestyle, goals, and starting points are different - so your training should be, too. Over the years, David has helped more than 200 clients transform their fitness, improve their health, and build lasting confidence in their bodies.

David has been working as a personal trainer in Bury St Edmunds since 2006, but his fitness journey started well before that. At age 17, David walked into a gym as an overweight teenager and, through a combination of smart training and healthy nutrition, lost three stone. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for health and fitness. Before becoming a personal trainer, David spent 17 years in the music industry before retraining with Premier Global International, earning a diploma in personal training. His leap into fitness was more than a career change - it was a mission to help others achieve what he had.
