LONDON MARATHON
SUNDAY 26TH APRIL 2026
David is currently training for the London Marathon in aid of the Karen Morris Memorial Trust.
As many of you know, running is not exactly my favourite pastime. So, why am I taking on the London Marathon 2026? It's a great question, and honestly, I'm still figuring it out myself. However, there is one compelling reason that stands out: to raise funds for the Karen Morris Memorial Trust. This charity does incredible work that truly makes a difference in people's lives.
The Karen Morris Memorial Trust was established to support blood cancer patients and their families by providing comfortable, supportive accommodation close to treatment centres. The aim is to ease the emotional and financial strain during incredibly difficult times, offering a “home from home” when it’s needed most. The Karen Morris Memorial Trust currently funds four Karen's Homes from Home for blood cancer patients and their families at: Hammersmith Hospital, the Churchill in Oxford, Addenbrooke's in Cambridge and Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham, with a fifth under discussion.
I invite you to join me on this journey and support this worthy cause. Every donation, no matter how small, will help me reach my target of £1,000 and make every painful step worthwhile. Your generosity can help create a lasting impact!
